The digital savings market is massive. While many retailers have pre populated code integrated into their checkouts, many are still at the mercy of browser extensions like Honey and Rakuten. While these extensions do have their benefits, they currently hold a negative value mark for retailers that currently have their hands tied by these extensions. The retailers pay referral fees to the extensions when a consumer utilizes them for "coupon codes" at checkout.

The value of digital coupon redemptions is estimated to be $91 billion by 2022. While mobile coupons are projected to account for nearly 80% of all coupon redemptions by 2022. 80% of coupons are redeemed from traditional print media. (source)

Function

While the majority of online redemptions are done via an extension, our plan is to build an integration app for commerce platforms (Shopify, Woocommerce, BigCommerce, etc.). This plugin would allow NFT holders to connect at checkout and receive perks and savings with no additional cost to the retailers. With the current model retailers are often paying extensions like Honey and Rakuten a commission for no other purpose than the user has their extension installed. With our model the brand could increase loyalty engagement with customers, while decreasing pointless commissions paid to extension operators.
